Education in Netherlands
This article gives a conclusion about the educational system in Netherlands. It is divided in to many states like in Thailand. I am interested in this article because the information is clear and easy to understand.I think that Netherlands has high standard education. Students can choose to study in either the dutch system or the international system which is British or American.
Education is compulsory for the children between age 5-16 years old. There are 3 kinds of school; public, private and special school. The fisrt two are supported by the goverment. The special school is about religion or philosophy. You can choose one of them depending on your interest. The levels of schools are divided into primary, secondary and higher education. Primary school starts around the age of five until twelve. After that, the children continue studying in secondary school until 18 years old. If they want to further their study, they can enter higher education such as univeisities , vocational colleges follow by their individual interest.
If compare to Thailand,Netherlands educational system is not much different but Thai goverment support only public schools. Moreover, private schools are more expensive than public school. I think that in Thailand the competition is higher than Netherlands. Here we have to take difficult exam in order to enter public schools or universities .
